Gift Guide for Couples under $40

A few years into our marriage, Ryan and I developed a pattern. We kept buying each other “big” gifts (costing over $100) months before Christmas. We are deal chasers who can’t wait to open gifts at the appropriate time. Because of this trend, we started a tradition of setting a Christmas gifts budget of ONLY $40 per person.

That means either one gift can equal $40 OR several little gifts can add up to $40.

This is harder than you might think depending on how your spouse likes receiving gifts. Do they like one big gift or unwrapping many little thoughtful ones? That’s your job to figure out. My job is to offer suggestions if you’re up for the challenge!
