Mama, you’ve got this.

I overheard a comment from a woman when I was walking through our small downtown,

“Wow, 3 kids.”

When I heard it, I felt a prickle on my neck. I felt shame thinking,

“Does she think I can’t handle this?”
“Is she judging me for procreating ‘too much.’”

It wasn’t my plan to bring 3 kids into a boutique pet store to pick up ridiculously expensive dog food for my 8 year old dog who is losing fur around her eyes for an unknown reason.

But life with kids means you adapt.

Why did I assume her comment was negative? Maybe she was impressed.

I was holding hands with my 2 sons, wearing Griffin & pushing a stroller with a 12lb dog bag of food where Griffin previously sat.

If I saw me I’d shout, “Mama you’re rocking it.”

Because I was. I even got my kids ice cream.

Moms, let’s not assume that people see us failing. We’re not.

We’re doing the best we can and the smiles on my sons’ faces prove it (minus Griffin Bc he hasn’t learned to smile at the camera yet 🙄)
