I’m in a season of wearing babies, staying up to midnight finishing a book, missing church, over-eating at Chick-fil-a, overspending at Target, dressing my kids better than me, forgetting plans, and not shaving my legs.
For my three boys, it’s more than worth it.

This advice comes from my mom. She raised me and my two brothers. We’re all grown and she’s pretty pleased with how differently we are each living our lives. Those are her credentials so take the following advice at your own risk.
As a stay-at-home mother, being at home often feels monotonous. Everyday feels the same when you wake up at the same hour. If we starts a task a minute too late, it throws off the whole routine. It’s amazing how time moves fast when you need it to move slow or vice versa.
Whoa, I haven’t written a blog post since July. Admitting that makes me feel guilty because I pride myself on my consistency.
Summer is not my favorite season. I do not enjoy being warm. In fact, I much prefer being consumed by the chill of A/C. I love A/C so much, it’s typically blasted so high in my car that my eyes dry up. That’s how I do summer. The problem is, my family loves being outside.
In May 2022, we drove our family of five, 11 hours to visit friends and family in Ohio. We’ve made this drive before, but this was our first time with three kids and a dog. To say I wasn’t stressed about the drive is an understatement.
I started this week with the Skinnytaste One & Done cookbook. I’ve enjoyed Skinnytaste recipes for years (since 2014 to be exact). I knew spending the next 2 weeks cooking from this cookbook will get things on the up and up following the Pioneer Woman recipe let down.
Survival Swim Lessons teaches children safety and confidence in the water. These classes changed everything. I will share our experience by answering commonly asked questions.
Lately, I’ve been bored with the meals I cook for my family. I noticed my stack of cookbooks gathering dust and decided to make a change. Each week I am picking 3 recipes from a cookbook. I have to say this challenge is really fun for me.
