Pro Tip: Just Add Water

Just add water, when your kids or you need a mental break.

That’s a tip I learned early as a parent. I’ll revise it to say, “just add soap and water.”

I don’t know why this tip works but whenever my kids are getting cranky or less than lovely—soap and water helps. For this activity you’ll need:

1. Dish or Bath soap

2. A baby bath tub or clear bucket

3. A few favorite toys to “clean”

4. Sponges or brushes

5. Towel for drying *don’t forget water. The kids will love cleaning their favorite toys.

If you have more time, bury the toys in dirt to make cleaning them extra necessary.

Another idea is to give your kids an afternoon bath. In the bath play the game, “Sink or Float.” Before your kids take their bath, have them gather items from around the house (that are water proof) to test if they will sink or float.
