What A Difference A Year Makes: 2017-2018
You really see the difference a year makes when you look at your kid. I mean, look at Nolan.
When Ryan deployed last, I had a really hard time adjusting to my new normal.
I put a lot of pressure on myself to be “enough” for Nolan. I set unrealistic expectations for Ryan to meet my emotional needs.
By the time he got back, I could barely recognize myself. I reverted back to my self-sabotaging ways. Yes, I still worked out everyday, but only because I had to for my team. I was going through the motions.
I was so focused on showing up for others that I left my own cup empty.
Then I made a decision to grow again. My 2018 focus was to take care of me first.
That meant committing to a killer workout where I had to wake up at 5am. I got my health back in check so I could get pregnant again. I took bigger risks in my business to create a team of incredible leaders. I spent time growing my faith. I was intentional about me.
I look at the life stages I’ve been through & I can say the “now” version of me is my favorite. Who I’ve become since Ryan deployed in 2017 is awesome. I’m glad you’re all getting to know this stronger & more authentic me.
